EURS in Concert

Ecce Quomodo Moritur by Jacob Handl Gallus has been provided for you to listen to as a sample of music sung in our concerts. This piece was performed live at our concert in Canongate Kirk on 15th November 2007.

4: Music for St. Andrew - New!

Music by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Cristobal de Morales, Orlando di Lasso, Thomas Crecquillon, and Jacob Handl Gallus. Our latest recording features amongst others Palestrina's Missa 'Ut, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La', Morales' 'Andreas Christi famulus', and Gallus' stunning setting of 'Ecce quomodo moritur justus'. Other pieces include music specially chosen in celebration of St. Andrew.

3: Psalms for the Regents of Scotland (1567-1578)

Music by John Angus, Andro Blackhall, Andro Kemp, David Peebles taken from the Wode partbooks (first Scottish psalter set to music). Includes a reconstruction of evensong as it might have been heard by the Regent Moray in Linlithgow on the eve of his assassination in 1570.
